I'm pretty glad they ditched the idea of the monorail running through Tomorrowland - the monorail isn't the proper way to enter Disneyland and I pity those people, like my parents, who first stepped foot in Disneyland from the monorail station. I, being the kind of girl I am, went right for the main entrance.

One of the original ideas was to have the monorail let people off in Tomorrowland--like at Disneyland--and then loop to the other hotel.

I'm fairly sure the structures on Discovery Island are the unbuilt Treasure Island buildings... you can pretty clearly see a Spanish fort on the left there. What the brown stuff on the right and back behind it is anybody's guess.
